Orcs

Orcs are typically disliked due to their brutish appearance, though some have found places within society wherein they found peace. Male tusks tend to be slightly longer by an inch or two. Half-orcs are more likely to be accepted.

Orcs look human in nature, but are inherently stronger than the other races. As such, they are very muscular, and often have varying horns and teeth on show. Their skin colour range is the range of humans plus some colder colours (pale blues, greens).

Tieflings

Tiefling face predujice for being horned, much like the orcs. Their demon-esque appearances come from their colouring and horns. Their horns are much like goats and rams, though some can differ from this.

Tiefling colours range from human colours to reds, blues, and greys. The colours are faint, though there are exceptions.

Magic

Summary

Magic is as well-versed and used as any physical weapons. Likewise, it is seen as useful when in the right hands. The minorities that cannot control their magic and have caused a criminal offence because of this are sent to MCIs, a sort of reforming, magical prison. (see below).

Magus Conefinement Institutes

Mages are often taken into strict schools to control their magic (Magus Confinement Institutes). Those that learn through studying need not worry of this, though there are some cases where studious intent creates uncontrollable destruction.

They are required by law throughout Halendal. Anyone that has committed a criminal offence via uncontrolled magic is sent here. Their stay varies greatly depending on the offence.

Reception

⬥ Warlocks are typically treated with caution. Older families may worship the otherworldly patrons. They are stigmatised and face predujice more than other casters.

⬥ Necromancy is outlawed throughout Halendal. Those who practice it do so in secret.

⬥ Wizards typically have the best reputation. Through dedication and study their potential is realised.

⬥ Druids are also favoured as they draw from nature itself.

⬥ Clerics are highly valued as they preach the pure teachings of gods. Clerics who stray off this path are unforgiven and despised by the public - it is an unthinkable path.

⬥ Sorcerers' wild magic is seen as an annoyance, and surprisingly, there is no correlation between wild magic users and the users being more likely to be confined.
